We encourage you to dress to impress! Our dress code is Black Tie Welcomed, so dark suits—or even a tuxedo, if you're feeling fancy!—are perfect for the gentlemen. For the ladies, long dresses are recommended, especially as the evening may get a bit chilly. Please note that our ceremony and reception will take place on the grass, so we recommend wearing appropriate shoes to dance the night away. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone looking and feeling their best!

Our ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM! Please plan to arrive 15–30 minutes early to grab a welcome drink and find your seat. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We have room blocks at both The Wells Hotel and Hotel Cashiers, and encourage guests to book through the links in the Travel section of our website, as accommodations in Cashiers are limited. There are also several Airbnbs in the area that may be more affordable options for groups. We’ll be providing wedding-day transportation from both hotels (plus a few other pickup spots in town), so keep that in mind if you plan to enjoy a drink!

While we love your children and want all families to feel included, we kindly ask that the ceremony and dinner remain kid-free for children 10 and under. We will be offering childcare on our family property from 4:00–10:00 PM for children 10 and under (or for any kids who would prefer to play games and hang out during the wedding festivities). Dinner will be provided for them, and they are welcome to join the celebration after dinner concludes.

Due to venue capacity and our guest list, we are only able to accommodate guests who are specifically named on the invitation. If your invitation includes “and guest,” we would love for you to bring a plus-one!

The closest airport is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) which is about an hour drive to Cashiers.

To kick off the festivities, we'll have a Welcome Party hosted by the Lelands on Friday evening from 8:00–10:00 PM at The Orchard Restaurant in Cashiers. Join us for dessert, drinks, and a chance to spend time together before the big day! On the wedding day, the ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by the reception, both held at Shiloh, the Sutherland's family home. On Sunday, we’ll be hosting a very casual pickleball party back on the property for anyone who wants to stop by. Bring the fun (and your competitive spirit!) and come say “see you later” before we head to Colorado.

Shuttles will be provided to and from The Wells Hotel and Hotel Cashiers on the wedding day. We will also have a few additional convenient pickup locations, as well as on-site shuttles for guests who choose to drive. Shuttle pickup begins at 3:45 PM and will run continuously until 11:00 PM. Cashiers roads are very dark and winding, so we strongly encourage anyone who plans to drink to use the shuttle services—we want everyone to stay safe and have a fun night! If you plan on using the shuttle, please let us know by September 10th so we can plan accordingly.

We recommend using our complimentary shuttles whenever possible and hope to have all guests arrive at Shiloh by approximately 4:30 PM. Please plan to be at your pickup location a few minutes early so shuttles can depart on schedule. This will allow plenty of time to grab a drink, explore, and get settled at the ceremony site before it begins at 5:00 PM. Guests who are driving may park at the Meadow House, located within Silver Run Reserve. You may use the address listed on the wedding invitation, but please double-check that your GPS is directing you to the main entrance of Silver Run Reserve on Highway 107 South in Cashiers, as some map apps can be a little tricky with the address. Once you enter through the Silver Run Reserve gate, parking signs will direct you to the Meadow House parking area. From there, a shuttle will take you to Shiloh, just a one-minute drive away. Continuous shuttle service will run from 4:00–4:50 PM from the Meadow House. Please note that Silver Run Reserve is a gated community, and the gate will be open for wedding guest entry from 3:45–5:00 PM only.

Cocktail hour will take place in the garden between the ceremony and reception where you can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, small bites and lawn games.

A fun highlight is that the annual Cashiers Leaf Festival is happening the weekend of our wedding, which is especially meaningful since it took place the very same weekend we got engaged last year! We highly recommend checking it out while you’re in town.

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors (weather permitting) and will be uncovered, so we recommend dressing accordingly and bringing a light layer just in case. We will have a tented reception, and depending on the weather, we may have heaters and a fire to keep everyone warm as we celebrate into the evening.

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are very limited in the Cashiers area, so we recommend arranging transportation in advance if you will not have a car.
